Branching out and expanding the shop has been one of my favorite aspects of running Leo's Lovely Treasures. This past year, I've been designing my own patterns that are now for sale in the shop!
This week, I published my Speckles and Cables Boot Cuff pattern. I've been tweaking and perfecting the design for awhile now. I am happy to say that you can buy it now here and on Ravelry! The pattern calls for worsted weight, and of course, I always highly recommend my favorite yarn dyer, Sunrise Fiber Co!

With summer rapidly coming to an end, cooler weather is on the horizon. Now is the perfect time to start shopping for fall! For the next week, enjoy 60% off the entire shop. Yes you read that right. SIXTY percent off. This is by far the largest sale in Leo's Lovely Treasures' history and I hope you take advantage of it! This fall, we'll be introducing plenty of new designs. Once the current stock sells out, there's a very good chance it won't be available again. If you've been eyeing a special swaddle or even a blanket, now is the perfect chance to grab it up!

I vacillated between teaching an introductory course on knitting or a detailed course on a specific pattern. After browsing the many amazing courses SkillShare has to offer, I found they already have a few wonderful courses on introductory knitting. With that in mind, I decided to create a course based on my most popular product and pattern, the Chevron Stripes Cocoon. This has always been a favorite among customers, and my favorite product to make.
Once the course is live, I will be providing links here on the blog to register! If you have any recommendations on future courses, please let me know. I would love to hear your input!
When it comes to the shop, sometimes I get these big ideas that don't always turn out as they do in my head. Other times, a project turns out even better than I could ever hope for. I've started to do more of my own photography for the shop and have been gathering together my own photography props and backgrounds. Last night, I distressed a set of pine boards with an awesome robins egg blue paint and driftwood stain. Sanding by hand was a small workout, but absolutely worth it! They're still drying, but I cannot wait to share more pictures!
Today continues with prop gathering and plotting. I'm extremely partial to the rustic coastal look, and I have been very inspired by this design.
I have been transition Leo's Lovely Treasures to have a more cohesive look throughout my branding, as well as photos and descriptions. With the expansion of my wholesale line, this will make LLT much more recognizable.
What designs and styles inspire you? Are you more likely to buy products with specific elements in mind?
When it comes to inspiration, country music will always hold that special spot at the top. From my first kiss, first love, and first heartbreak, I've always reached to my favorite songs for comfort. When you get butterflies from that last message from a special someone, Sam Hunt knows exactly how you feel.
Now how does that relate to my business, you ask? Simple! Most days when I'm working on the shop, whether it's a new design or finishing up a custom order, I probably have my Pandora blasting. Country songs bring back so many memories from my past and remind me how blessed my life is. Even in the difficult times, I'm reminded my family and friends will always be there with their love and support. Leo's Lovely Treasures wouldn't be where it is today without my family- my biggest fans.
I've now opened up shop on here! You can get all your favorite LLT apparel and accessories directly through this site! Questions, let me know!
As much as I adore my baby product line, I've had the desire to expand the shop and add home décor and accessories. I recently had new photos taken for one of my unique blankets. I was so thrilled with how they turned out! This warm, wooly blanket is now for sale in my shop. I am so excited to add more of these special blankets as well as other home accessories. Of course, be on the lookout for more baby cocoons and newborn props!

January has been off to a wonderful start for Leo's Lovely Treasures! I was accepted to the St. Croix Valley Spring Expo at my alma mater! It will be held from March 4-6 at UW-River Falls. We have also expanded our Etsy Wholesale business and offer a huge range of products from our popular newborn cocoons, to mermaid blankets for all ages, to bulky scarves and cowls for cold winter weather.
I've been rearranging my workspace to maximize efficiency and making my shop space more organized. I recently bought an awesome 20 drawer cabinet for all my knitting needles, notions, and shipping supplies. I also bought wine racks that I hung on my wall to display my favorite hand dyed yarn! It's so easy for me to visualize future projects as well as get inspiration for new designs!
Now I'm working on the rest of the office space. My good friend's husband is building a barn wood desk, and I cannot wait to see what he comes up with. I bought an awesome clear lucite chair, which I've been eyeing for a long time. I will be sharing more as changes come!
Check out the Etsy Shop! If you leave a comment at checkout, I will send you a free gift!
Hope you all have an awesome Thursday!
Yet again, I find that I have a lot of updates this Friday! Earlier this month, we participated in Seattle's Baby Fest! It was a wonderful experience, and I am so glad I was able to share my business with the west coast! I found out that gender reveal parties are a big deal out there, and I have been brainstorming ideas on how to celebrate it! Keep an eye out for new product lines!
I have a few more art and craft fairs coming up in the next few months, and I can't wait to see how they go. Each fair is so different from the others that I never know what to expect.
Here are few of my favorite holiday items currently in the shop! As always, you can purchase through my Etsy shop! Almost everything is ready to ship within 1-2 days!
In two short weeks, Leo's Lovely Treasures will be a vendor at the 2015 River Falls Art Crawl! I have been busy working on custom orders for repeat customers as well as designing new productl lines! I am excited to see the results and share with all of you.
I was recently accepted as an Etsy wholesaler and I have already received my first wholesale order! I am hoping to sell to more local shops. It is so surreal to see my own handcrafted items on the shelves and sold to happy customers! I am thrilled with how much my shop has grown in the last year with so many new opportunities.
Fall is the perfect time to start shopping for hand knits and get bundled up for the cooler weather. Make sure you visit the shop today and grab your favorite one of a kind fall and winter accessories!
I'm a recent college graduate, living the dream day by day, and knitting as much as I can.
